Terms of Service
1. The service
Source Claim Verification evaluates whether a source you specify (a public URL, or text you supply) supports a claim you specify, and returns a verdict with excerpts from that source. It evaluates only the relationship between that claim and that source. It does not determine whether a claim is true, does not search other sources, and is not a complete fact-check.
2. No professional advice
Results are not legal, medical, financial, investment or other professional advice. Do not rely on a result as the sole basis for decisions with significant consequences.
3. Automated analysis and its limits
Verdicts are produced by automated software, including a third-party language model, combined with deterministic checks. They can be wrong, incomplete or affected by how a source is structured, by content that was not retrievable, or by the passages selected from large sources. A verdict of “not found in this source” does not mean a claim is false. You are responsible for how you use results.
4. Sources and content
You may only submit sources you are entitled to have processed. We retrieve publicly accessible pages once per request (cached copies may be reused for a short time, and this is disclosed in the result) and do not bypass logins, paywalls, CAPTCHAs or other access restrictions. Results contain short excerpts of the source for the purpose of identifying evidence; the source remains the property of its owner. Text you supply is identified in results as provided by you and not independently fetched.
5. Price and payment
The price per verification is shown before payment (0.048 USDC at the time of writing) and is bound into the payment requirement. Payments are made in USDC via the x402 protocol. You are charged only when a verdict is produced from a retrieved source; unavailable sources, invalid requests and provider failures are not charged, and retries with the same Idempotency-Key are not charged twice. Blockchain transactions are irreversible; if you believe you were charged in error, contact us with the request ID and transaction hash and we will review it.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to attack or overload third-party sites, to reach non-public systems, to process content you have no right to process, or to circumvent rate limits. We may refuse or limit requests to protect the service or third parties.
7. Availability and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the verification concerned.
8. Changes
We may update these terms and the price. The terms and price in effect when you submit a request apply to that request.
